Delhi Police Arrests AAP MLA In Assault Case


New Delhi: The Delhi Police on Saturday arrested AAP MLA Naresh Balyan for his alleged involvement in an assault case.

On Sunday, MLA Balyan and his supporters trespassed and attacked the president of a RWA in Mohan Garden area of Uttam Nagar. A case was registered against the Uttam Nagar MLA and his supporters under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). He is expected to be released on bail soon.

The FIR was lodged on Sunday night following a complaint by former AAP volunteer and president of Mohan Garden RWA, Henry George.

One of MLAs’ supporters in turn also filed a cross FIR against George, accusing him of abusing and assaulting the MLA and his supporters near his office.
