Delhi Police Arrested Al-Qaeda Operative

New Delhi: An Al-Qaeda Operative has been arrested by Special Cell of Delhi Police on Monday.

He has been identified as Shomon Haq. Haq had been reportedly active for past four years. Sources also said that Haq may have been planning an attack in Delhi.

Al-Qaeda said the Indian state was its “top priority, after American and Israeli targets,” but added that it’s objective wasn’t to attack “common” Hindus, Buddhists or people of other faiths.

It recently appointed former Hizbul Mujahideen commander Zakir Musa as its Kashmir chief
