Mumbai: As soon as ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ crossed the Rs 100-crore mark in domestic market, it called for a party. After all, it was the first Karan Johar directorial to have crossed the golden mark. And when it comes to throwing a party, no one does it better than KJo. The filmmaker wasted no time in calling his industry friends over to celebrate the success.
The do was as star-studded as it gets. The lead star of ADHM, Ranbir Kapoor was accompanied by Aditya Roy Kapur and Neha Dhupia. Parineeti Chopra also dropped in to offer her best wishes to one of her favourite directors. Filmmakers Kiran Rao and Ayan Mukerji were also spotted at the bash. The head-turner, however, was Deepika Padukone, who returned to the bay after walking the red carpet at the MTV Europe Music Awards. The actress looked stunning as she sported a racy silk top and minimal make-up. Surprisingly, the leading ladies of the film, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan were conspicuous by their absence.
ADHM had first run into trouble for featuring Pakistani actor Fawad Khan and then over allegedly insulting late legendary singer Mohammad Rafi. But guess, all’s well that ends well. ADHM also became Ranbir’s first hit ever since the 2013 film ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’, thus ending his dry run at the box-office.
