‘Dabangg’ & ‘Dubsmash’ girl turns 28 today



Kolkata: Actress Sonakshi Sinha, who entered Bollywood in the year 2010 with ‘Dabangg’ opposite Salman Khan, turns 28 today. The actress has witnessed her share of ups and downs in the industry and has always stood firm against all hurdles that came her way.

After being accepted as Rajjo in ‘Dabangg’, Sonakshi bagged most awards for the best debut that year. The movie did so well that the sequel of the same was made in 2012. Sonakshi’s dialogue “Thappad se darr nahi lagta sahab, Pyaar se lagta hai (I don’t fear being slapped sir, I fear love),” was mumbled by everyone that year.
The actress has worked with A-list actors like Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh.
Often criticized for not working with actors of the same age, Sonakshi proved her ability and skills in the movie ‘Lootera’ opposite Ranveer Singh. Though the movie did not fare well at the box office, but she won accolades for her outstanding performance.

Apart from appearing in Bollywood movies, Sonakshi has tried her hand in Tamil Movies as well with ‘Lingaa’ opposite Rajinikanth. Next, the actress will be seen in AR Murugadoss’ movie ‘Akira’.
