Cyclonic Storm Likely To Hit Bengal


Kolkata: The low pressure area over the Southeast Arabian Sea has intensified into a well marked Cyclonic Storm as it moves northwestwards towards the Oman Coast. In the last 24 hours, it gathered more energy, says the central met office.

The Alipore Meteorological Department says there is no fear in Kolkata from the cyclone. But it will affect Kerala, Tamilnadu, Pondicherry and Lakshadweep. The storm created on the southeast coast of the Arabian Sea.

Today it is located on the southeast coast of the Arabian Sea. From there, it is increasing the strength. In the next 24 hours, the depression will further strengthen the energy of the North-West side. Then it will move towards Oman coast.

This will cause a storm in Lakshadweep. There will be heavy rain. Eight durations may cause a storm of 80 kilometers. After that, the speed of the storm can also be above 100 kilometers, says Central Mausam Bhaban. Normally the ban on the coastal areas has been banned in this situation.

Meanwhile, on the same day, on October 8, a depression will be created on Odisha and North Andhra Pradesh, which is likely to hit the south coast of India.
