Kolkata: Chief minister Mamata Banerjee has asked the citizens of the state to stay safe and alarmed as cyclone fani is approaching while addressing a rally in New Town, Banerjee said this.Schools have been asked to stay closed and locals to move to safer places as the state braces for the extremely severe cyclonic storm, which is expected to make its landfall in neighboring Odisha on Friday.
Special Control Room of Kolkata Police will be open for 24 hours from 3rd May to 6th May for possible damage. Lalbazar said DC officials is in charge of the control room.
