Gold Coast: India got a great start to the day as Tejaswini Sawant clinched gold in women’s 50m rifle 3 positions with Anjum Moudgill coming second to claim silver at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast.

Later, Anish Bhanwala won the men’s 25m rapid fire pistol gold as boxer Naman Tanwar lost his men’s 91 kg semi-final to settle for a bronze. Bajrang Punia then added another gold to the tally by winning the men’s freestyle 65 kg gold in wrestling. Pooja Dhanda comes second best. However, in the last 30 seconds, she had almost turned it around. Trailing 1-6, Dhanda almost got the job done with a near painfall.
