Ghaziabad: BJP leader Brijmohan Tewatia was shot at today evening in Ghaziabad. The unidentified miscreants fired more than 100 rounds. While Tewatia and his driver are critical and admitted in a hospital, five others, who were travelling with him are also injured.
Mr Teotia, 49, has been rushed to Fortis Hospital in Noida where his condition is said to be serious. Five others were injured in the attack. “The injured were initially admitted at a hospital in Ghaziabad from where, Teotia was referred to Fortis Hospital in Noida,” said Meerut zone Inspector General Surjeep Pandey.
The unknown gunmen, who were in a Toyota Fortuner SUV, fired nearly 100 rounds at the Scorpio SUV which Mr Teotia was travelling in. The attackers managed to escape from the spot. Minister of State Mahesh Sharma, who met the injured leader, said, “His life is in danger. He has been taken to operation theatre.”
