Cricket Stars Let Out Emotions On Mother’s Day


New Delhi: As the whole world celebrates Mother’s Day 2017, Cricket superstars let out their emotion as they took to social media to celebrate Mother’s Day on Sunday.

India captain Virat Kohli kept his message ‘for the mums’ simple — by showing a collage of questions they usually ask in different stages of their lives.

Sachin Tendulkar tweeted a picture of his mother and said “To the world you are my mother but to me you are my world. #HappyMothersDay Aiee!!”

For the former India dashing opener Virender Sehwag, his mother was love at first sight. “I believe in love at first sight. Love my mother ever since I opened my eyes,” Sehwag tweeted.


Rishabh Pant, who has been making heads turn with his audacious shots in the Indian Premier League only days after losing his father, tweeted a picture of his mother — his ‘biggest source of inspiration and support’.


Out of favour India all-rounder Irfan Pathan tweeted: “Whatever I m 2day it’s cos of u Ammi.My respect 2all d mothers u all r beautiful n to my wife who is new to motherhood.”

India cricketer Manoj Tiwary said his mother is his strength. “Mothers are our greatest teacher, a teacher of compassion, love and fearlessness. #HappyMothersDay to all the mothers. Love you Mom,” Tiwary tweeted.


Former West Indies captain Darren Sammy also thanked his mother for the 33 years she had carried him through life.

Australia vice-captain and Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper David Warner posted two messages on his Instagram — one wishing his mother and the other wishing his wife Candice on behalf of their little kids.

Warner in his post said: “Happy Mother’s Day to this beauty of a lady @warnerlorraine love you lots and lots mum. Always there for us.”
He also wished his wife. “Happy Mother’s Day to my wifey @candywarner1 nothing but amazing all the time. Girls and I love you lots. Hope you have a great day my dear.”

Australia and Rising Pune Supergiant skipper Steven Smith posted: “Happy Mother’s Day Mum. Thanks for everything that you do for me. I hope you have a fantastic day. I love you”

Former India opener Akash Chopra tweeted: “Everything I am…You helped me to be. Thank you, mom.”

India and Mumbai Indians off-spinner Harbhajan Singh too tweeted a picture with his mother, saying “Everything I am, you helped me to be. #MothersDay”.
