Creating History, Bangladesh awakes to a new dawn


Dhaka: It is a dream come true for all the Bangladeshi cricket lovers over the world. What was thought as a miracle a few years ago, has been made possible by the team led by Mashrafe Mortaza. Once called the minnows. Bangladesh has made the dream come true for the fanatics of the era. In a three match series they have completely brownwashed their rivals, Pakistan. In the third match of the series riding on Saumya Sarkar’s ton, Bangladesh defeated Pakistan and created a new history.

Previously, in the world cup at Australia, Bangladesh had defeated England and won many praises. For the first time, Bangladesh went up to the knock out stage of an ICC tournament. They have instances of playing the spoil sport in past occasions as well. In 2007, by defeating Rahul Dravid’s India, they shattered India’s world cup hopes. Known as Giant Killers, Bangladesh had defeated Aussies even out of their soil.

But now comes the most enigmatic part of their cricketing history. Bangladesh recorded a complete series win against a big team for the first time in history. It was a moment of joy, happiness and rewriting their tags of being minnows. According to the cricket world, Bangladesh will no longer be seen as a minnow. The teams will not take them lightly ever. Bangladesh has made their name in the cricketing pages of history.
