TMC Terror Looms On Domkol, CPM Worker Killed


Update: Fresh violence has been reported in Dakshinpara area of Murshidabad’s Domkol again as alleged Trinamool Congress goons shot two more people.

Murshidabad: A CPM worker was shot dead In Domkol, Murshidabad on Thursday during the Phase III Assembly Elections, said police.

Tahidul Islam, a CPM worker was shot dead infront of polling booth nu-178 at Shiropara during clashes between CPM and TMC men. As per reports, unabetted clashes between the ruling party and oppositon is raging since his morning. They have been threatening voters too. Booth jamming has also been reported.

The Election Commission has ordered the District Administration to submit an immediate report on the incident. Special police ovserver has reached the spot.

A total number of 200 complaints have been losged to the Election Commission in the first two hours.

Phase III Assembly elections are presently going on in 62 constituencies of 4 districts. Several incidents have been reported. In Burdwan’s Khandaghosh area, CPM agent has allegedly been attacked by TMC goons. In Ketugram, bombing is being done by the TMC goons. In Booth 12 of Entally constituency, TMC goon is seen threatening a CPM agent inside the booth.

Open jamming reported in the Beleghata area, Ward 25. Allegations have been raised that fake voters are jamming booths. 2 such fake votes have been arrested so far in this matter. Similar incidents have also been reported in the Dum Dum – Cossipore area.
