CPM Leader’s House Ransacked In Beliaghata, TMC Accused


Kolkata: In another incident of post-poll violence in West Bengal, CPM leader Rajiv Biswas’s house has been allegedly attacked and ransacked by Trinamool Congress goons on Tuesday evening.

Mr. Biswas was the CPM candidate from Beliaghata Assembly seat and lost to Trinamool’s Paresh Paul.

A hoge police force rushed to the spot after the incident was reported and calmed the situation. However, eye witnesses reported that Trinamool goons allegedly threatened Mr. Biswas of consequence in he presence of the cops and said that the police won’t be able to protect him long.

West Bengal has witnessed massive post sweep violence after the ruling TMC retained power by a mammoth win over 211 seats and the Left and Congress literally vanquished to oblivion.

In a separate incident, alleged Trinamool Congress activists attacked CPM workers and vandalised their houses in Narayangarh’s Asnabani area.

CPM heavyweight leader Surya Kant Mishra fighting from Narayangarh lost the polls this year.
