CPM Changes Statement Over Mishra’s ‘Midnight Conspiracy’

Panskura:  CPM contradicts CPM! East Midanapur CPM district committee secretary Niranjan Sihi on Wednesday challanged the state secretary Suryakanta Mishra’s comment over TMC’s ‘Midnight conspiracy’. Yesterday CPM state secretary Suryakanta Mishra alleged that Trinamul Congress MP Suvendu Adhikari held a ‘’secret meeting’’ in Banamali College to chalk out a plan of influencing voters.

Today, Niranjan Sihi said that the meeting was held in B-Ed College, not in Banamali College of Panskura.  However, Mr. Sihi prompted the main allegation as per his leader. He also alleged that, Suvendu Adhikari and the OCs of five police stations were presented in that meeting. According to CPM leaders’ allegation, alcohol and meat were catered among the voters to capture them.

According to Mr. Sihi, Suvendu also ordered to inactivate the central forces on the Election Day. He demanded that B-Ed college of Panskura is run by local TMC leader Anisur Rahaman. Noting the allegation, Election Commission immediately asked the full report from East Midnapur SP.

Earlier Mr. Mishra told the media that they knew that few police officers are still in the grip of the chief minister with whom they are in touch with electoral malpractices in the final phase of 5th May. Later, a CPM delegation, led by party secretariat member Rabin Deb, submitted a written complaint to the chief electoral officer Sunil Gupta with a copy to the chief election commissioner detailing the incident and mentioning the name of the shop where the order for liquor was placed.
