CPM calls for 12 hour bandh at Maldah, Kamarhati

Maldah and Kamarhati: The CPM has called for a 12 hour bandh at the areas Belghoria and Maldah. The strike is being observed at different corners of the area. The areas are under police picket to avoid any unavoidable situation at Maldah’s Englishbazar. At Belghoria, the bandh will take place from 6am to 4pm on Wednesday. Later in the day, the CPM leadership in the likes of Suryakanta Mishra and others are expected to visit the area. The bandh is called to raise a protest against the lathicharge of the police.

However, the bandh has not been taken in the proper light by the TMC of the area. They have decided to carry out a rally in protest of the Bandh. On the other hand, in Kolkata also, TMC along with CM Mamata Banerjee is expected to carry out a protest rally from Moulali to Gandhi statue.
