CPI(M) protest against Obama’s visit to India

New Delhi and Kolkata: The Communist Party of India (Marxist) on Saturday indulged into a nationwide protest against the upcoming visit of US President Barack Obama. stating that the America seeks to change India`s economic, security and strategic policies for its own benifit. The scenario at Kolkata was no different. Biman Bose, Chairman of the Left Front, addressed a meting at the city today and said that the coming of US President to India has not been taken in a proper light by the Leftists.

“President Obama is coming with an agenda to pressurise and change India’s economic, security and strategic policies. We should not succumb to that pressure, but unfortunately the government is showing indications of that,” said CPI(M) General Secretary Prakash Karat.
