CPI(M) councillor along with four sent to jail


Maldah: The bail plea of four CPI(M) workers and a sitting councilor was rejected by Maldah court. The outgoing CPI(M) councilor Subhodeep Sanyal and four other CPI(M) workers were produced before Maldah Court where their bail plea was rejected by the judge.

the councilor and a CPI(M) worker has been sent to 10 days of Jail Custody while three have been sent to 15 days of Jail custody.

TMC candidate on Ward no 24 Rumpa Roy on Monday was campaigning for the upcoming elections when she was obstructed by CPI(M) workers. She has lodged a complaint with police. On the basis of her complaint five CPI(M) members were arrested. They were produced before court on Wednesday.
