Court summons Naveen Jindal: Coal scam

New Delhi: Congress leader and industrialist Naveen Jindal, former Jharkhand chief minister Madhu Koda and 13 others were on Wednesday summoned as accused by a trial court in connection with the Amarkonda Murgadangal coal block allocation scam case.

Special Judge Bharat Parashar asked all the 15 accused to appear on May 22 after taking cognizance of CBI chargesheet.

The CBI had last week filed a chargesheet against Jindal, ex-minister of state for coal Dasari Narayan Rao, former Jharkhand chief minister Madhu Koda, former coal secretary H C Gupta and 11 others for criminal conspiracy in the allotment of the coal block.
