Court rejects CID chargesheet for the third time: Sattor case


Birbhum: The Suri court on Tuesday, for the third consecutive time has rejected the chargesheet filed by the CID on Sattor case. The court has postponed the hearing till April 17.

After Suprakash Naik took charge of the investigation on March 23, the CID had filed the chargesheet on Monday.

As per the reports, although the CID has named OC of Parui polic station and four other police personnel, it gave a clean chit to the seven accused TMC workers and the circle officer. The accused have earlier been named in the first chargesheet by the CID.

The court citing the discrepancies rejected the chargesheet.

On the other hand the Sattor victim accused the government of suppressing the case. Expressing her disbelief on the CID, she said the investigation is a mere eye wash by the government.

The court also directed the investigating CID officer Suprakash Naik to present at the court on April 17, during the hearing.
