Gaya: An incident of middle aged barbarism grips the Bihar and its people. A person and a teenager, who had earlier eloped citing a relation of love, were mercilessly beaten and burnt to death allegedly on the orders of a village panchayat in the Gaya district of Bihar. Reports on Wednesday said that the 16-year-old girl and her alleged lover, a 36-year-old man, were allegedly killed after a public hearing attended by hundreds of people.
According to local sources, the girl’s family was also present at the timing of hearing at the local Panchayat. An FIR has also been filed against 15 people, including the girl’s father. The Gaya Police has begun investigation into the matter and has arrested one person in this case. The police has, however, assured that action will be taken against all those guilty in the case.
According to reports, the man was allegedly married, with three children, and used to come to the village frequently to visit his in-laws. That is how he had reportedly met the teenager.
