Zahid, Srinagar: Security forces have launched a cordon and search operation at Khosa Mohalla in Bandipora’s Hajin, Jammu and Kashmir.

According to a information about the presence of militants in Khosa and Syed Mohalla Hajin in Bandipora district, Rashtriya Rifles (RR), Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police and CRPF launched a joint search operation on Friday morning.
A case has been registered in this regard under relevant sections of law and an investigation is underway. On Thursday, during the initial firing by the terrorists, a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel sustained bullet injuries and was shifted to 92 base hospital for treatment. His condition is stable now.
Meanwhile, bodies of two terrorists along with arms and ammunition and other incriminating materials have also been recovered in Srinagar’s Khanmoh area following an encounter between security forces and terrorists after failed weapon-snatching bid on Thursday.
