Paraguay in Copa Semis, beat Brazil on penalties

Brazil: 1 (Robinho-15′)

Paraguay: 1 ( Gonzalez-72′)

Tie-Breaker score: Brazil-3-4 Paraguay

For the second Copa America in a row, Brazil have been eliminated on penalties in the quarter-finals at the hands of Paraguay. The shootout delivered justice in the end, as the Selecao hardly showed anything that warranted a result from this match. Paraguay had more desire, more determination and now, they will face Argentina in the semi-finals. What a night for Gonzalez too, with two unnerving penalties to seal this game for La Albirroja!

72′ Goal Gonzalez! slams the ball into the left side of the goal. Jefferson dives the right way but there was no keeping that one out. Good equalizer for Paraguay.

First Half Score: Brazil 1-0 Paraguay

15′ Goal for Brazil! Great move from the Selecao, as the ball is sprayed to Alves down the right-hand side, and the Barcelona man fires the ball into the box. It misses the crowd at the near post, but breaks perfectly for Robinho at the far side, and he does the rest!

Brazil (4-2-3-1): Jefferson; Alves, Silva, Miranda, Luis; Fernandinho, Elias; Willian, Coutinho, Robinho; Firmino.
