Cop Thrashes Journo at Ultadanga Station


Kolkata: Amidst rising incident of attacks on journalist in the state, a photo journalist was assaulted by cops at Ultadanga rail station on Friday. As per reports chaos prevailed at Ultadanga rail station after Habra Local scheduled for arrival at platform-1 arrived at platform number-2 due to signal malfunction.

Passengers waiting for the train on Platform-1 hurriedly leaped across the line ensuing a stampede. Ghosh who was trying to capture the incident on camera was allegedly thrashed by RPF personnel, who tried to prevent him from capturing the shots. He was rescued by a few passengers. Ghosh later filed a complaint at the Ultadanga police station against the RPF personnel.
