Ohio: An unarmed black man has been fatally shot in the head by a police officer during a traffic stop in Cincinnati, Ohio. Officer Ray Tensing stopped Samuel Dubose, 43, on Sunday evening for driving without a front registration plate, said police. According to the authorities, Mr Dubose did not pull over for about a mile.
Tensing, a white University of Cincinnati officer, asked to see Dubose’s driver’s licence. But he instead handed over a bottle of alcohol; according to university police chief Jason Goodrich.
According to the authorities, Mr Tensing asked Mr Dubose to step out of the car, at which point a struggle ensued. Tensing, who has been placed on paid administrative leave, fired a single shot, hitting the driver in the head. The city’s police department is handling the investigation.
