Congress holds demonstration outside Parliament

New Delhi: The Congress Parliamentary Party will be holding a sit-in demonstration in front of the Parliament protesting against the suspension of 25 Congress MPs for five days in the ongoing monsoon session. The Congress has been joined by the NCP in its protests. The protests is being attended by a host of congress leader including Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Vice President Rahul Gandhi and former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. Although the Trinamool Congress has also protested against the suspension of the Congress MPs from the Parliament, the party has not joined the sit-in with the Trinamool Congress. 

Speaking to media persons in the Parliament premises the Congress Vice President has once again demanded the resignation of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje for being involved in the Lalitgate scam. He said, "I am not demanding the resignation, neither is the Congress. The people of India are demanding the resignation."
