Congress strengthens protests outside the Parliament


New Delhi: The congress is continuing with its protests outside the Parliament over the  suspension of 25 MPs for five days. Wearing black badges, the Congress MPs including former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Vice President Rahul Gandhi are staging demonstration at the Gandhi statue outside the Parliament. Rajya Sabha has been adjourned till 2 Pm on Wednesday following the due to the protests. The other opposition parties have supported the Congress on the issue. The left parties have also joined the protests of the Congress although TMC has decided not to join.

Rahul Gandhi once again attacked the government for the suspension of the congress MPs and said, “We have decided to remain outside the Parliament. We will sit outside the house. Congress MP Raj Babbar said, “The suspension enforced upon the MPs is illogical and unconstitutional.”

Sonia Gandhi, on the other hand has warned that they won’t support the dictatorial attitude of the Government. The Youth Congress staged demonstration at the Jantar Mantar in Delhi outside the house of speaker Sumitra Mahajan. Police resorted to Lathicharge to stop the agitating congress supporters.
