Kolkata: The Congress High Command took decision on Friday to show cause Congress leader Manas Bhuiya over the PAC issue.
State Congress chief Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury and opposition leader Abdul Mannan had gone to Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi to complain against Manas Bhuiya. They filed a complaint against Manas Bhuiya.
Adhir said that Rahul Gandhi clearly said that going against the party will not be tolerated, be it a small or big party; or the person might be a big political leader. He even accused Manas of making secret understanding with Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
Post meet, Adhir Ranjan said that the congress high command has given a green signal to show cause Manas Bhuiya. A few weeks ago, assembly speaker Biman Banerjee had announced Manas Bhuiya’s name as the PAC chairman.
The decision was strongly condemned by Congress and CPM. Andul Mannan had submitted a recommendation for making CPM leader Sujan Chakraborty the chairman. But the proposal was rejected which sparked outrage among Congress-CPM. Manas Bhuiya even refused to shun away from his post inspite of several requests from the party chief.
