Cong unhappy with Sibal over Saradha case


New Delhi: Congress today expressed unhappiness over Senior leader kapil sibal taking up the case of Trinamool Congress against CBI in Supreme Court which is in connection with the Saradha scam.The Bengal unit of congress had objected to Sibal representing TMC.

Party General Secretary and in-charge of West Bengal C P Joshi said that he fully endorsed the views expressed by West Bengal Congress.

He made it clear that the Congress high Command is unhappy over the former Union Ministers’ decision to appear in SC for Arch rival TMC.

West Bengal Congress President Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury had said, “Sibal is a known face of the Congress and a former Union minister. He is representing the state government in the Saradha case in the Supreme Court. We express our unhappiness over his decision.”

Congress Spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala said that although Kapil Sibal is an eminent lawyer, he should take a note of the West Bengal unit of the party.
