Cong demands Raman’s resignation in 36,000 cr PDS scam


Raipur: The congress has demanded the resignation of Chattishgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh in connection with 36,000 cr rice scam in the state terming it as the biggest PDS scam in the country.

Congress Spokesperson Ajay Maken said that the only way of tracing the truth is by setting up of a Special Investigation Team monitored by Supreme Court.

Chattishgarh Pradesh Congress Committee Chief Bhupesh Baghel said, “In order to ensure a fair investigation, Raman Singh must be sacked immediately.”

Maken said, “The Chief Minister created a well-oiled corruption machine in connivance with rice mill owners, PDS shop owners and public officials to earn thousands of crores as kickbacks and commission.”

Maken alleged that the names of the Chief Minister, his wife and sister-in-law were in a diary recovered from one of the accused by the ACB during the raids.
