Concerned over paid news, Jaitley stresses on media ethics


New Delhi: Information and Broadcasting Minister Arun Jaitley has stressed on the need of ethics in media and expressed concern over the issue of paid news. He was speaking at the Inaugural Session at the seminar on “Establishment of Communication University” in New Delhi.

The union minister further added that controversies and hype lead to news shrillness. Addressing the seminar, I&B secretary Bimal Julka said that there is an increasing need for professionals to transcend traditional boundaries of media.
