Complication Over SSC’s Class 9-10 Teacher Recruitment Continues


Kolkata: Defying instructions by Calcutta High Court, the SSC complication continues in the class 9-10 teacher recruitment. Though, Calcutta HC has given an ultimatum to the SSC authorities.

As per instructions by the Calcutta High Court, SSC Secretary Ashok Saha appeared at 10:30 am before Justice Raj Shekhar Mantha. Saha apologised for not following court’s order. The court questioned him that despite of accepting the verdict, why did he not appear before the court.

The prosecutor Ashish Kumar Choudhury informed the court that the list published by SSC is not a merit list but a panel. He also said that the SSC have submitted wrong report before the court. After this, the justices instructed to submit a report on it by Tuesday 10:30 am.

Despite orders by court, the SSC did not publish the merit list. Manika Roy, job-seeker filed a case. The SSC officials did not appear before the court despite summons. The Calcutta HC has ordered SSC chairman and president to appear before the court themselves for not following previous orders.
