Communist Leader Anil Sarkar dies at 76


Agartala: Vice-chairman of state planning council Anil Sarkar died at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi.

The incident took place on Tuesday

He was living with his son at the time of his death.  Anil Sarkar died at the age of 76. He was suffering from old-age related problems.

He is a former minister and sitting MLA who won the state elections for consecutive eight terms and was also the first state secretary of Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI).
