Kolkata: The Calcutta High Court has directed the state government on Wednesday in it’s verdict regarding the PIL that was filed against the BJP called bandh on Wednesday that the commuters’ safety is utmost. The state government has to ensure the safety and security of commoners passes by the middle of the road.
The court has also directed the chief secretary the home secretary and the director general of the police of the state to ensure the security measures as soon as possible during the general strike.
It is to be recall that the state government has already deployed huge number of police men in Kolkata in districts but the incidence of violence have been reported from morning till Wednesday afternoon. According to police a North Bengal State transport corporation bus has been torched allegedly by the bandh supporters and a private bus was ransacked by the same party both these buses were heading towards Siliguri with passengers.
