Come To Bengal, Ride The Growth: Mamata To Investors At The Hague

The Hague:  Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday appealed to investors at The Hague to ‘come to Bengal, ride the growth’. She was speaking at the ‘Opportunities in Bengal’ forum.

In her speech, the Chief Minister said, “Bengal is the human capital as well as the cultural capital of the world. Bengal believes in sustainable development in every sphere. Bengal is improving a lot after 34 years of a legacy. In six years we are plus, plus and plus.”

“We have enough potential for investment in MSME sector, agriculture, horticulture. We have a land bank, a land map and a transparent land-use policy. We have accountability and transparency,” she added.

The CM also said: “Bengal has enough scope and opportunities. The talent in Bengal is the best in the world. We will provide all infrastructure and support possible. Bengal is the gateway of north-eastern States, Bangladesh, Bhutan as well as Nepal. The second largest Financial Hub in India is in Bengal.”

She concluded saying she hoped to meet those present at today’s meet at the next Bengal Global Business Summit.
