Colaco hopeful to end on his starting note

Kolkata: Just before twenty four hours before the Derby, the East Bengal players were seen in a mixed reaction. On the other hand having to play a big Match within 48 hours of a competitive encounter, some of the players were spotted showing their disgust. On the other hand another section of players seemed completely bubbling with passion, excitement, enthusiasm and confidence. They were all set to kick of the ball at Vivekananda Yuva Bharati Krinrangan right from the word go.

As it is the biggest occasion of all, the East Bengal officials seemed to cover all end up. The much talked about referee fiasco was brought under the notice of the Federation and according to club sources, they might even right a letter to the AIFF to ensure proper referring during the match.

However, the team looked absolutely confident of purpose and the players were seen eager to re-live the Kolkata League memory of thrashing Mohun Bagan 3-1. The match also serves to be an acid test for Armando Colaco. Within the club premise, if one keeps a close ear, it could be heard that the Derby can become the farewell bell for the Goan Coach. Keeping atune with the speculation, Armando is all set to end his East Bengal journey with the flavor with which he started. Armando kicked off his EB campaign with a win and looks forward to end his tenure by defeating Sanjoy Sen’s boys.

The probable eleven of East Bengal for tomorrow will be Subhasish at the goal. Avijit Mondal has been kept prepared if Subhasish fails to make the playing 11 as he is recovering from a mild injury. Deepak, Susak, Arnab and Robert will form the defensive line. Lalrindika Ralte, Tulunga, Khabra and Mehtab will play in the mid field and the goal scoring responsibility lies on the shoulders of Ranti Martins and Dudu.
