CM Raman Singh confirms hostage crisis


Raipur: Rejecting an early denial of the hostage crisis in Maringa village of the state, Chief Minister Raman Singh confirms the situation in the area.
Amidst Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit, to the Mao hotbed in Chhattisgarh, over 400 people had been taken hostage in Maringa village of the state.

However, police officials had denied any hostage crisis in the area. “There is no hostage like situation. Naxals are only meeting the villagers,” says Superintendent of police Sukma D Sharavan.

However, it is still not clear how the authorities will deal with the situation.
