Kolkata: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has once again set an example of political courtesy by directing the state Housing department to take immediate steps for repairing the flat of former Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharya at Palm Avenue.
Mamata Banerjee was informed about some repair work that needed to be carried out at the residence of the former Chief Minister. She was informed about this when she was there at the Assembly on Wednesday. She took the initiative immediately and contacted Khalil Ahmed, Commissioner of Kolkata Municipal Corporation with an additional charge of the Housing department.
CM Mamata enquired about the present status of a work related to the flat of the former Chief Minister for which she had taken necessary steps six months ago. In the same breath, she also directed Ahmed to take necessary measures to start the repair and cleaning that needs to be done in the flat at the earliest.
