Mamata Banerjee said that, “Today we have reviewed the work done by various departments in the past and also discussed plans for the future. There has been a three-fold increase in planned expenditure in the last 5 years. This is unprecedented:

Mamata Banerjee added, “We have ushered in development despite the huge burden of debt. On one hand Centre is stopping all funds and on the other it is imposing more taxes.” Mamata Banerjee criticized the centre for the Aadhar Card issue. The unemployed men would receive jobs under the 100-day job scheme only if they possess Aadhar Cards. Mamata Banerjee had raised concerns on this issue as a larger part of our unemployed youth did not have Aadhar Cards. Hence they would be deprieved of the benefits.

The WB Chief Minister also said that, “Infrastructure and assets have grown manifold in the last five years. We have conducted 105 administrative meetings at block level in 5 years. This is unprecedented in the country.”

She also said, “Our mission is to make Bengal the best in the world. (Bangla hobe Biswa Sera)”
