Alipurduar: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, on the first day of her visit to north Bengal, addressed a public rally at Parade Ground, Alipurduar, on Monday from where she also inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for a bouquet of projects.
The Chief Minister inaugurated several development projects like Krishak Bazaars, an ITI, a Karma Tirtha, road projects, drinking water supply projects, anganwadi centres, embankment projects for Alipurduar, and two multi super-specialty hospitals in Malbazar and Jalpaiguri and several other health projects, both in north and south Bengal. She said that a lot of work has already been done. A lot of work is still left to be done.
The West Bengal Chief Minister also laid the foundation stones for the second Bhutan Gateway in Jaigaon, a Government polytechnic college, water supply projects, power stations, schools, hostels and several other projects for the area.
She also distributed benefits including for Kanyashree, Sabuj Sathi, pattas and agri-equipments.
