Kolkata: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee convened a meeting at Nabanna Building to discuss issues over the raging Swine Flu on Tuesday.
The meeting was attended by Health Secretary Malay Dey, Health Minister Chandrima Bhattacharya and key officials from the Health Department.
The Health Department had been jolted after the state suffered 69 deaths by deadly Swine Flu. Show cause notices have been served to four private hospitals named as Columbia Asia, R.N. Tagore, Apollo Gleneagles and BMRC hospital for denying treatment to Swine Flu victims.
As per the reports the CM had instructed the Health Department to maintain a strict vigil over the situation and to initiate adequate measures to fight the ravaging epidemic.
