Howrah: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee conducted an administrative meeting at Sarat Sadan in Howrah district on Tuesday.
Mamata Banerjee addressed the press after the administrative review meeting in Howrah. Mamata Banerjee announced that a multi super speciality hospital would be set up in Uluberia. She assured that all necessary steps would be undertaken for floods. She said that the work for flood prevention at Udaynarayanpur is under progress.
The traffic system of Howrah would be set up in a beautiful way. She said, “We are working on making the traffic system in Howrah even more efficient.” She added that Universal electrification will soon be achieved in Howrah district. She also assures that a lot of employment will be generated at Belur Shilpa Tirtha. Rs 2 lakh will be allotted from MPLAD fund for the development of Howrah
Mamata Banerjee said that all the ‘ferryghats’ would be decorated beautifully. The mayor of Kolkata Sovan Chatterjee has been given the responsibility of renovating the Mangalahat. She assured that after discussions, several problems were sorted out.
Earlier this month she had held the first administrative review meeting of her second term at Jhargram in Jangalmahal. Before that a state-level meeting was also held at Town Hall in Kolkata.
In the first term, WB CM conducted 105 such meetings across the State where she took stock of the progress of various projects. WB CM is scheduled to hold a similar administrative meeting in Alipurduar district later this month.
