City Comes To A Standstill On Counting Day


Kolkata: It seems that a strike in on in Kolkata on the day of vote counting since Thursday morning. If one comes out into the streets, then one will feel that a strike is on as the streets are vacant and there are almost no transport.

The regular pedestrians are facing problems as they are not being able to reach their destinations. In comparison to other days, the governmental and private buses are running less on Thursday.

The number of autos are also very less. Yellow taxis are almost invisible. As a result, the people have to rely on app cabs. Several taxi drivers are refusing to ply due to fear of clashes.

Many people are hooked onto their mobiles to know the voting situation in the country. The auto drivers are also not going to long routes due to fear of clashes. The number of people on the roads are less too.
