Kolkata:Citing the instances of cracks and crevices on the roads of Kolkata, the CSTC has decided to reduce the number of buses in the City. According to the Calcutta State Transport Corporation, due to the horrible condition of the roads in Kolkata, the buses are not running at a smooth pace. They have to stop at certain junctures and even take alternative routes if required. The buses are air conditioned in nature. Hence, the practical problems and the more consumption of fuel due to the bad condition of the roads are in turn rising the cost of running the buses. Keeping in mind such problems, the CSTC has decided to reduce the number of buses atleast for the rainy season and  till the time KMC does not play an active role in repairing the roads.
