CISF Constable Shoots Himself Dead At Bengaluru Airport

Bengaluru: A Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) constable, deployed at the Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru, shot himself dead with his INSAS service rifle on Monday morning. The incident took place on the airport premises.

Gayakwad Suresh belonged to D-company of the CISF unit deployed at the airport. Sources said that he reported to duty in the morning near Tower 7 and then shot himself.

Suresh didn’t leave behind a suicide note. However, senior city police officers said Suresh had recently gone through a divorce, and personal reasons could be behind the suicide.  The post-mortem report is awaited.
