CISCE Board Announces Change In ISC Syllabus

Kolkata: The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has announced on Tuesday that there would be a change in the syllabus pattern for the Indian School Certificate (ISC) examinations.

The Delhi board has announced that the ISC syllabus will be changed from this year, that is, 2016.  As per the announcement, the syllabus pattern will change for Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics.

The new syllabus will apply to the Class XI students from this year and the new pattern would apply to the ISC students from 2018.

It is being rumoured that the board are likely to adopt the syllabus pattern of the CBSE board. This approach comes in order to prevent students from leaving ISC boards and moving onto the other boards. But the ISC board president Mr. Arathoon has strongly criticised such a notion. He said that CBSE board is not the only board to conduct competitive examinations. They give permission to take private coaching classes. So the students and their parents must eradicate such a notion that CBSE is better that ISC board.
