CID takes up the missing case of Chayan Sarkar

Jaipaiguri: The missing case of a journalist, who worked in a broad sheet has been handed over to the CID on Monday. Chayan Sarkar who worked in 'Uttar-Banga Sambad' had flashed a news about how TMCP had taken money from the students in connection to illegal admission in the Alipurduar College. TMCP had even taken the roads to stage a protest in this light. Chayan's residence was even alleged to have been ransacked by the TMCP supporters after the incident. Following the incident, Chayan Sarkar had been missing from his home and work place. His family members are afraid of hiss loss of life even.

Chayan Sarkar had even lodged a complaint against a few of the TMCP workers. Following the incident, the reporters association of Alipurduar have hit the road to mark their protest. Chayan had been missing since 8 pm on Sunday. A strike has been called by the Lefts of the area on Monday to mark a protest.
