Church vandalized at South Delhi

South Delhi: A church was allegedly vandalized by some rogues on Monday. The incident took place at the Vasant Kunj area of South Delhi.

According to sources, the church was vandalized around 1 am at night. The police said prayer items kept in the church were thrown around and some other things were also broken, adding that no FIR has been registered as yet.

However, senior police officials had reached the spot and started off with their investigation.

“We are investigating the incident and scanning the footage of CCTV installed near the church to identify the accused,” said a senior police official.

It is the fifth such incident in which a city church has been targeted since last November.
