Chit Fund Agent Commits Suicide at Baruipur


Baruipur: Many of the chit fund agents bogged down in heavy debt after the collapse of Ponzi companies across the state have committed suicide earlier. In yet another such incident a chit fund agent committed suicide at Sitakundu village under Baruipur.

The deceased named as Mahadev Gayen consumed pesticide on Monday and died in the hospital. He has been under immense pressure from the investors, seeking return on their investment.

As per report, Gayen has collected a total of 20 Lakh rupees from various investors on behalf of some Ponzi company, who later duped the amount.
