Raipur: A truck collided with a tractor trolley killing four persons, including two woman, and injuring five others in Chhattisgarh’s Balodabazar district area, police said.
Over 20 people, including the victims, in the tractor trolley were on the way back last night to their native place in Dharsinwa region in the district here when the incident took place near a dhaba on Simga-Raipur Road under Simga Police Station, a police official said.
They had gone to attend a family function in Bemetara district. On the return journey, when the vehicle was crossing Simga area, around 50 kms from here, a truck coming from the opposite direction hit the tractor trolley leaving four people, including two women, dead on the spot, he said.
A police team was sent to the spot for rescue work, he said. Four of the five injured were referred to a hospital in Raipur while another one was admitted to a hospital in the district, he said.
The identity of the victims was being ascertained, he said.
