Chhath Puja: Ganga Ghats Ready For Devotees In Barrackpore

Barrackpore: On the occasion of Chhath Puja, several Ghats of North 24 pargana have been adorned with lights and flowers. Titagarh municipality Trinamool councilor Manish Shukla and local employees have visited Gandhi Ghat of Barrackpore and Titagarh Glasskol to ensure safety and arrangements for the devotees.

City’s all most all the ghats will be used to perform rituals on Chhath. All the ghats have been illuminated with lights and municipality’s employees will be present to keep the ghats clean. Police will be vigilant on this issue.

The residents of Titagarh is mostly Hindi speaking who are employed in jute mills. It is one of the most celebrated occasion in Titagarh. People observes Chhath here with great devotion. Many devotees from outside come here to join Chhath Puja.

After visiting the Ghats, local councilor said that we have taken measures to ensure safety and security for the people. TMC people will also be present at the ghats to assist the on duty people.
