New Delhi: Xiaomi’s most awaited smartphone Mi 6X has been launched at an event at Wuhan University, the smartphone is expected to be launched as the Mi A2 with stock Android UI in India having a familiar design, camera with AI integration and Android 8.1 Oreo-based custom skin.
The dual-SIM smartphone will run MIUI 9.5 software, based on Android 8.1 Oreo and will be backed by a 3010mAh, with support for Quick Charge 3.0. Mi A1 has gone out of stock in the country as its successor handset is widely expected to be launched as the Mi A2 in the Indian market soon.
The new Xiaomi Mi 6X will sport a 5.99-inch display with 18:9 aspect ratio and narrow bezels on the sides, with looks similar to the Redmi Note 5 Pro which was launched few months by the company. Mi 6X will be powered by the octa-core Snapdragon 660 SoC and Adreno 512 GPU paired up with 6GB RAM and up to 128GB internal storage.
The phone also has other connectivity options like 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Direct, Miracast, Bluetooth 5.0, IR emitter, USB Type-C port. Mi 6X will be available in all-metal body, dual speakers on the bottom, and comes in five colour options — Red, Gold, Rose Gold, Blue, and Black.
As far as the price in concerned, the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant is priced at CNY 1,599 which roughly calculated to Rs. 16,900, while the 6GB RAM and 64GB storage will cost CNY 1,799 which is approximately Rs. 19,000, while the top end Mi 6X variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at CNY 1,999 which calculated around Rs. 21,000.
